Orthokeratology (Orth-K)

Ortho-K is the use of a ‘sleep in’ contact lens that reshapes the cornea to correct your vision. After wearing an Ortho-K lens at night your vision will be clear throughout the day, without wearing contact lenses or glasses.

Ortho-K is also an option for myopia management. There is now substantial research on Ortho-K and slowing myopia/short-sighted progression in children.

Eleisha, our optometrist, has a special interest in Ortho-K and in 2016 achieved her fellowship for the International Academy of Ortho-K and Myopia control.
