Myopia management

Myopia or short sightedness (over -4.00 dioptres) is recognised as a significant risk factor in many eye diseases. Managing myopia progression in children and adolescents is important in reducing that risk. At MGE we offer some simple strategies to manage myopia - Ortho-K, atropine drops, multifocal contact lenses and bifocal spectacles. Risk factors include South East Asian ethnicity – being under 9 years of age – and, having a parent who is short sighted.
